Today is my birthday, yay me! And I have been meaning to learn to play happy birthday on my ukulele. And this year I finally did and of course I made a Singalong/ Playalong video to go with that. It is a bit of a different video because, it is a fingerpicking song instead of the strum song you might know me to play. Hi I am Poppy

Hi there, maybe you have been following me here for a while or maybe it is the first time you have visited my blog. But since I haven't posted for a while I thought it would be a nice opportunity to kind of reintroduce myself. So I created Poppy Makes when I was 21 and I have always liked to crafting and baking. I like to be creative sounds so vague but it basically comes to that. I make video tutorials in which I show you how I make or bake something, which tools I have used, which tricks I have picked up along the way and these videos sometimes also include free printable patterns which I made myself. But I also make other kinds of printables like cards, calendars, mandala colouring pages etcetera and they are always free to download in PDF format. Of course, I like to scroll through all the pages of Pinterest, Instagram, just the web to find some inspiration and try to make or bake it myself. In the past two years I have picked up a new hobby and I have been learning how to play the ukelele. It has always been a dream of mine to learn to play an instrument. Although I can't say I am absolutely nailing this ukelele thing I have posted since then a couple of ukelele videos on my YouTube channel where you can follow my progress but also I show you in the videos which chords I use and strumming patterns. I am always open to new suggestions and ideas for a new video so don't be shy and come and follow me on any of my other social media channels or leave a comment down below.

Poppy Makes

Hej there and welcome to my blog! You might have read that I was working on my blog and you may have noticed I have been gradually changing my name from Poppy Maakt to Poppy Makes. I have changed the name of my blog from Poppy Maakt into poppymakesdiy.blogspot.com because I thought is was time to change it. I am mostly writing in English, my videos are also mostly in English and since maakt is makes in English I thought it would be a simple but more or less the same name change. You will find everything that once was on Poppy Maakt here on poppymakesdiy.blogspot.com. You will also still be able to follow me on various social media like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and Youtube, all direct links are down below. I have indeed returned to Facebook, I have made a page where I will keep you updated on what I am doing and what my next project will be. Poppy Maakt is under construction

Hej there! As the title says my blog will be under construction for a couple of days. Don't worry if you are not able to find a printable or just can't find anything for that matter I am working on a few changes. My social media and YouTube channel will be still up and running so please feel free to check those out. I will keep you up to date on where things stand. As you may have noticed I love movies and get inspired by them to make, bake create new things. And the new Disney Pixar Finding Dory movie is no different. I was thinking how cool it would be to keep on swimming with the fishes. So I came up with a cool idea: a waterless aquarium. Go checkout the crafting page to see how you can make one yourself. Alice in Wonderland inspired turban cakes / geïnspireerde tulband cakejes

On the baking page you will find a new video tutorial inspired by the new upcoming Alice in Wonderland movie. I have made something very yummy and something totally new for me. I could not be just any ordinairy cake mixture so I used one I found at Ikea go chekout my video tutorial. Have fun!

Op de bakpagina vind je een nieuwe instructie video geïnspireerd door de nieuwe Alice in Wonderland film die binnenkort in de bioscopen zal draaien. Ik heb iets heel lekkers gemaakt en iets totaal nieuws voor mij.
